When Do You Play and Why?

Hi all,

I was wondering on what days do you guys play normally? do you have specific days that you play or don't play? and what is the reason for that?

Personally I play everyday. CG's in the daytime and MTT's in the evening, and sometyimes some CG's in the evenings too if I don't play too much MTT's.
And if I do deside not to play a day or 2, I would choose the weekends that is my worst bankroll period of the week. Probably because of the many donks?

i usually take Monday off, play a small sessions on Tuesday of Zoom or mtt sng's, then play tournaments Wednesday- Sunday, whilst usually taking at least one of those days off to go out drinking at night (usually Saturday.) sometimes it pains me taking Saturdays off mtt's as the tournaments are pretty big then (2nd biggest of the week.) but if i just play every day i will have no social life, so there has to be some balance and it can't just be all poker.

on Sunday i never ever ever ever take the day off, i have probably missed 1 Sunday out of the last 6 months. for a mtt players who plays for a living it would be suicide to miss any Sunday imo. i will go out on a Saturday but i usually start at 4pm on Sunday so i am usually okay by then. and even when i was really hungover one week i managed to go deep in my 1st time playing Sunday Million. my advice if you go out on a Saturday would be: try to stick to one drink, i usually stick to pints. try to eat when you come in. drink water. it is okay drinking a small bit but you don't really want to be hungover for the Sunday unless it's a hugely special occassion. and even if you're not feeling great you should man up and just play less tables. you can always take Monday off but Sunday are huge.

imo i think you should maybe choose either cash games or tourny's. then play one or the other 90% of the time and the other occassionally. say you choose cash games, you should play these most of the week, then play tourny's on Sunday when they are the biggest. however i would still try to play some cash games on Sunday alongside as i assume they are pretty soft on Sundays. Cash games and tourny's are totally different and you should try to specialise in one before trying to improve the other.

Evenings and weekends.

Ideally late when the tables get spewy, but not so late that I am mentally/physically drained.

when I had time and didn't feel tired. Mostly at night.It make me play better.

It is always good to keep a routine that does not even play all day. I personally try to play more during the weekends that I'm longer available!

Whenever a good sessions running I will play it, but otherwise I just multi table low stakes whenever I feel like playing, which is almost every day

I tend to right now play more on the weekends.

Weekends primarily. Work days are usually busy in the evenings either due to kids or something or other..

I prefer to play tournaments on the weekend. The prize pools are larger and there tends to be a greater percentage of players who play purely recreationally and are less experienced.

I am at this moment removed by things outside of poker poker.
When I played, usually previously had an idea to play, how long, I always manage to organization.
It is also important to review the hands you play and correct errors.
Generally played about 3000 hands of poker or cash zoom speed and some sit and go
Tournaments played less because they require more time.

I play mostly MTT so i have a schedule where i note the regular MTT's i wanna play. So basically along the week i play almost always at the same time at the same days this way i organize my time better

I observed that Im usually bust whenever the pokersite is at high traffic, maybe because of many donks. At low traffic, I would stay for long.

I play when I'm not studying for tests.

I personally play on weekends and on the night on the week. I do that because most of persons play at night and on weekends

I usually play at night, but sometimes I play at lunch time too. And when I'm waiting on huge lines, I open CG.

If i can play everytime, i'll play everyday lol, but just play at night and weekends.

I mostly play a 3-4 hour session in the evenings on the weekdays and I will play all day long on the weekends if I'm free. This means I play a lot of time when I'm tired and probably not playing my A game but with a full time job and a family it's the only time I can play.

I also play almost every day, but there are days I play with less money xq are bad days ... seems impossible but these days I do not win almost anything .. however other days if the professionals that put pro faborables days .. play 2 or 3 times a week, all play on Sundays .. because they are the best tournaments ..

normaly when i get the feeling that i will have a nice session, but usually i play everyday more then 3 hours..and all wekends

Personally I play everyday

I'll play online whenever it strikes me and I'm not buried in work.

If I'm playing vs strangers live, I try to do fri/sat/sun night in hopes of finding drunk fish.

I'll play against regs I know whenever our schedules sync up.

I personally prefer to play during nights, and not during the day.

+1 for sure.

I've made an effort to try not to play before 5:00 PM on weekdays, the players are generally much worse past 5:00 on Mon-Fri
