Patience and folding is key, especially in cash. In tournaments, you're going to be forced to pick your spots. Just make sure you're paying attention to other players to make sure you're not trapping yourself.

Depending on your analysis of the above mentioned, you can go with a middle pair or intelligently bluff.

In a normal tourney when we are card dead we use position to steal the blind so that our stack remain effective. But the real problem start, especially in online tourney during middle of the tourney when there is a shift of table by the operator and we suddenly find ourselves in the middle of new aggressive players who raises every time and we are down to 15 BBs. Then here we do not have time to read the players and wait for a good card. It is just a Shove or Go at late position with a marginal holdings.

I strongly agree. Too many others talk about playing any cards. The only way that strategy wins is with dumb luck! Even the worst players at my weekly home game get lucky once in awhile and come out ahead on the night. Good for them. Their 'any-two-cards-will-do' approach is weak and in the long term, costs them chips.

Patience is the answer.

Hi to all First of all every body has a dry run of cards a specific time, so the key to success is patience. Wait for the right cards and reward u get would be worth it. Make sure u get the right opening cards at right position and at right situation. Don't just let angry or sad and put in lots of money in some trash card.I am sure u must have got the answer and Please abide by it.

This depends on a lot of factors. I find it's actually easier to play bad cards in mid stakes poker. If you haven't played a hand in a long time, a raise or 3-bet can often win the pot when the players have more $$$ at stake. They will give you credit for having a strong hand. In low stakes or free rolls, it's very tough to play bad cards because players are generally making very loose calls. In a lot of cases, you are kind of stuck folding hands until you are so low that you are in push or fold mode.

When there are no good starting cards for the game, it is possible to play with bad ones. I noticed when players enter bad cards through the mud and kill top AA, AK, QQ pictures. Just watch the game and understand the moment you enter the limp. Especially in this situation, every player happens.

There are a few solid ways to pick up chips without cards. The key is to use the tight image you've built and make plays on the players who are willing to give you credit and capable of making big folds.

Generally speaking don't try to bluff the gamblers, against them just wait. Even if it seems to take a long time, you will get the cards eventually if you stay patient.

Yes, some nights you get ZERO cards, but other nights you'll get tons, the key is to not separate each session and instead take the mindset that it's all part of one long session, that way your emotions / entitlement feelings won't get the best of you.

You are right being able to adopt is very important part.
It's also important how to know what game you should play, at what limits, cash or tournaments and theory of poker.
How I say before sometimes if you feel you can play even after raise with for example connectors. Of course should be carefully!!! - Every time or someone or something can F**K you

Card dead + cold deck = not much fun.

The important thing is to make hay while the sun shines. By this I mean make sure you're getting paid when you have it.

When you're not getting any cards you need to use things like position and table image wherever possible.

Whilst I wouldn't rush to recommend bluffing or playing whatever cards you get, there will reach a point when you have to go with what you've got.

It's a balance between patience and identifying spots where you can gather chips without premium holdings.

If you play too tight you will get bled out and by the time you do get AA, KK, AK even if you double/triple up, you won't have enough chips to effectively compete and be straight back into the bleeding out situation.

Hi, Newzooozooo! I'm agree with You, that the break is most simply and a effective method, but if this concerns the cash games, because in the tournaments Sit&Go and in the ordinary tournaments, if you done a break, in especially, a long break, you can lose the thread
of play, miss the important hands, your stack will eat growing up blinds, in eventually you can lose the contributed buy-in, and this means you only waste your time and money...

In these occasions the your mood will not a good, exactly

, especially, if thus do often

At times it doesn't matter what the 2 hole cards are. Table dynamics should allow a few pots regardless of what was dealt. If you have been folding and got a good chance to steal a few, you got to try. Nice raise says I got A A when you really have 2 7.

Sometimes this is a common dilemma where u must take the game into your own hands by playing position with timed aggression and 3 or 4 betting certain players that may be stealing or playing very loose. Obv you cannot make these moves against some players (notes or memory of those players that won’t fold no matter what) so you must use caution and common sense.

My opinion

There is a trick to calling pairs. You bet any pair when its do for trips. The extra wins will fall into place. You hit trips a third of the time. Keep in mind a few exceptions.

One is you just hit that pair to trips and you at a third of time for trips. This is showing your prolly not going to hit that exact trips again wait till four.

Two you need to think about the third into high trips, low trips, and middle trips. See you broke the third into a third. A third of time you hit middle. Then your at the third of time when pair in hole hits trips.

In my opinion it is a matter of knowing how to wait for the opportunity, always in a favorable position also to participate or play with a lot of intelligence, the hands will always arrive, you just have to wait.

If its long lasting tournament I fold. Sometimes it takes more than hour just folding, not playing. But it depents how many people are, what king of tournament, your position etc

And when no good cards come what to do?
