With me it is unfortunately also so that I often become too careless when I sit a big stack.

You want to take advantage of the fact that you can look at more flops and put the other players who have to act more carefully under pressure with C-bets etc. but often it backfires and then you suddenly have to play tight again.

It would probably be better to stay true to the style of play that made you the chip leader and enjoy the luxury of only being able to go in with good hands instead of getting greedy and wanting to extend your lead too quickly.

In my opinion, the key to success here, as so often, is patience. There is no need to hurry up in this position.

In the end a tournament is a marathon and not a sprint.. so you have to show consistency over the whole time.

What might also help as a somewhat advanced player is multi tabling.
Then you don't get tempted so fast because premium hands are dealt in higher frequency. :)

I do become reckless with large stack. Try to play too many hands, especially the speculative hands.

Many people make the mistake of taking a lot of chips. They start playing every hand, they start playing an incomprehensible bluff in the hope that the opponent will fold the hand, as a result, after losing several hands, he can compete, hoping to win back the chips. But in the end, he remains with a small amount of chips and tries to spin up again, but unfortunately for such players the tournament has already ended.

I do this when I have a big stack or when I haven’t had a good hand in a while because I get bored. I am learning to get up from the table few a few minutes to settle down again

I end up opening my range too much too. It is logical that we should open the range when we have a big pot. But everything must be done in the right measure. Knowing how to fold the hand is also important at this time. When I can manage and dose it well, I usually go far.

Hi.
I think that regardless of the size of your stack, you always need to adequately assess the risks and remain patient.
Good luck.

I noticed that some players, when they win a lot of chips, start to increase uncontrollably, one thing is to want to see the cards that hit the table and another is to raise trying to make their opponents fold without having anything in their hands, surely someone will have a strong hand and will pull their chips taking you to the previous state.

Good afternoon. If I have a very nice stack, I don´t change my strategy, that is . I keep on playing tight and very patient in the next stages of the tournament.Sometimes you feel unbeatable and after 3 hands you are eliminated.Unfortunately, that happens

Yes, when I have a lot of chips I start playing aggressively, I even 3-bet with 5 10 off-suit and I feel invincible, this is very bad.

Put some serious time into studying how to play a large stack, it's a skill that you will need to master if you intend on becoming a solid winning player.

It happens to me too, I start to give myself more freedom in the range of hands I play, and it's not going well for me. I start to lose stack quickly and go back to the original strategy

This happens from time to time. In such cases, in order not to let everything down, I just take a coffee break.

The game I've gained the most expertise in is triple up SNGs. In that game you split the payoff with two other players, so once you gain the chip lead around 3k in chips or higher you stand a good chance of winning. That's when my strategy in the game changes. I focus on the critical stacks, the players who can't take me out of the game or diminish my stack to critical levels. I'm careful to that point to build a tight image, so when I raise with a mediocre hand most often the other players fold. If another player reraises or goes all in, then I fold. There is no desire to put my chip lead in jeopardy when odds are I've already won the game. I've even mucked AA in such circumstances. Why take the chance of someone getting lucky. But if someone with a critical stack goes all in while I'm holding AA, or any pockets or high cards, then we get cooking. It's all a matter of focus.

Hi.
This shows a lack of discipline. Of course, the size of the stack affects the decision, but this does not mean that you can afford to risk more than necessary.

I believe that players get stressed and can't manage the chips properly, that's something that changes with experience

It happens to me that I play well with enough chips because I am full of confidence... Although I usually play All In very often and I must avoid that so as not to lose many chips.
