Who thinks: how much of 100% of the poker skill is used, and how many percent is used for luck?

I think the ratio of skill to luck is about 70/30. In general, I tend to rely more on my skills and experience than on luck, but without a doubt luck is also a necessary element for good results.

The interesting thing is your play may be in the 95/5 category (95% skill, 5% luck) but it only takes one 95/5 hand (95% in your favour, 5% not) to knock you out of a big payout tournament after hours leading up to the bubble.

If you lose a series of tournaments with 95/5, 85/15, 75/25, 65/35, and 55/45 odds on your last hand then you are officially a BIG loser despite being HIGHLY skilled.

Timing is everything!

I also tend to believe that the skill percentage prevails. But I can't decide in what ratio.

I think when a person is new to the game of poker luck is relied upon more but as you progress its a changing mixture of both luck and experience. Then I think an advanced player relies on more skill but luck is always an important factor as well.

60/40 in skills favour but there are times no matter how skilfully you play, your luck just says no and shafted is all you get.
