Yup 44 no good, question how long has your friend been playing? I find that is a pretty common thing for the new poker player at times to grasp that sometimes your cards are not even used.

A5 win because KK66 is higher two pair and Ace is higher than 4.
Both use board KK66 and fifth card is Ace KK66A is the best 5 combination
