Really? First time I can recall hearing this assertion. By the way, my basic job description has remained the same for going on 40 years & while I continue to really enjoy what I do, it remains what I do, not what I am. Just sayin.

is it bad to be considered an intellectual? An intellectual can be different people, different professions....A combination of intelligence and good breeding.

I was a Legal Secretary 18 years after having my 2nd child, I stayed home for several years. My daughter was a competitive figure skater from the age of 6 to 18 so that kept me busy busy and always on the run. I didn't play poker back then, poker came later.. Now I am a p/t cashier at a grocery store mostly to get out of the house. Play a lot of poker mostly for fun though I just cant play poker all day, every day lmao But I do play a lot and Truly love to play!!!

I have been retired for just a little better than a year, from the Canadian Banking System. I still can't sleep in as much as I would like..retirement keeps me pretty busy and wouldn't change a thing. :)

It is believed that poker is a game of intellectuals. Was wondering --what are some jobs that predominate among poker players? What is your educational background famous poker players? And who are YOU by profession?

among professionals there are players with higher education and without.Among non-professionals, too.Poker combines all. I like the doctor. AND YOU ?

I worked a dealer in poker club in Ukraine... but now only playing

I´m a pastry chef and engineering student.
I think you just need to be good with numbers and study a lot.
But also have a good theacher because a lots of things in poker are not intuitive at all.
