Many successful players adopt a 1%  or 2% limit to what they buy in for, So if they win $50 Dollars they will only buy-in for 50 Cent's or a maximum $1 Dollar buy-in. 
Control your Bankroll like you would play a Poker Game, Remember that every game is a Marathon not a Sprint race, it takes time to Win a big Tournament, so it is with a Bankroll, it takes Time and Patience.
