It's good because of good fun, challenging with other players and you can win some amount of money. That's enough for me to playing poker.

Poker is not a simple card game, when you play it you have to give your full attention. And not only to count your possibility to win with the cards you were dealt, but to read the actions of other players. Training those skills are also good for your daily life. And if you are just a beginner, Freeroll tournaments are perfect start.
