Why are NLH tournaments so much more popular than PLO?

This is a question I've been asking for years. Even at local casinos they never have PLO tournaments where I'm at. Is it because of Chris Moneymaker breaking through in the 2003 main event? Or do people just not want to figure out different strategies with 4 cards?

I think that it is because NLH is much more easier than PLO and in PLO it is harder to define opponent's hand. But as for me PLO is also my best game cause all it is called POKER)))

Yea NLHE is simpler, more people understand the game. Also PLO just has way more variance in general so it's even tougher for people to get into it. I love PLO and NL08 and other variations but I understand why it isn't popular with some people

I agree with those who say that NLHE is easier to learn. It takes more focus to play PLO or stud. If I play PLO, I don't talk as much, so NLHE is a much more social game.
