I play because it's fun, it has logical and mathematical side of things, and also because I want to become a better player.
Sure, there's uncertainty in this game, but it's what makes it so fun!

I play on-line Poker for the enjoyment of the game, and the fact that this covid19 outbreak has closed all the Casino's and Pubs. I do not enjoy losing money and can honestly say on-line I have never lost a penny, I have never deposited my own cash so how can I lose?
Sure I buy-in to most games I play now but that money has come from Free-rolls I have cashed in, and as far as I am concerned that money was never mine to begin with so I do not mind taking a few hits and lose a few games.
I manage my bankroll sensibly and do not try bigger buy-ins until I am ready for them and that keeps me from going on tilt.
Everyone has good days and bad playing Poker it is like the weather always changing and if you can survive the worst storms, there is plenty of sunshine at the end of it.

Hello. I play poker because my interests have been in stats, math, and chance. Math was my secondary major in college. Stats makes the world interesting. Math is a must. Poker fits my loves very much. Thank you.

Why do people play Chess, or Tennis or Football? Because it is fun and they enjoy it. Poker does not need to be just for money, sure it is nice to win a little now and again but it is a game that anyone can play, from any Country (regulation permitting) and they don't have to speak the same language, as they know the rules of the game, and on-line it really does not matter what currency you are playing for.
I really do not understand why some people always think they can become millionaire's over night gambling at any game, slots, Bingo, Sports betting or Poker, it is never easy and sure some people are lucky at whatever they do, and Dreams do come true for some.
But it all comes down to what your dreams are and if they are attainable, I always dreamed of going to Las Vegas and sitting in the same Seats, at the same Tables, as some of the great Poker players like Doyle Brunson, It has never been about the money, it is all about the atmosphere and playing The Game!
If I was good enough to win a World Series Bracelet, or a E.P.T. Trophy, that for me would be enough, The money only comes 2nd when playing Poker.
