Each of us has certain pleasures and for me the game of poker is one of them, when I come home after a day of work and enter a tournament it is like a well deserved break.

This game is so cool. Even without money I would play poker. Poker has everything: logic, psycholgy, math, dealing with human beings. And of course it can be lucrative.

THANKS for making me think about this....... I have never really asked myself why I play.

There are a few reasons I play though I realize after giving this some consideration. Although I am not a very competitive person there is a huge rush (hands shaking, heart beat increase, sweating) when I am doing really well and there are few things in life that can do that to me (insert bad joke here). Now, I am challenging myself even more by seeing just how high I can get my $20 investment. Also it is something to get my mind off of all the other things in life. When I play poker I (for the most part) stop answering emails and working on other things that regular life makes us do. It really is a nice break from "life" for a couple of hours. More and more though I find myself really just trying to become a better player overall. I will admit, I do not "study" poker, but I try to hone my game on the table.

I play because enjoy the challenge and want to keep improving. Goal is to to play and be successful in high stakes cash games, not just $1&$2 dollar games. At some point I would like to be considered a pro.

I started in poker out of curiosity, I discovered in poker something like I felt as a child putting together a puzzle, I love this mystery of incomplete calculation, this mix between logic and luck

Why do I play???

It all started just as a distraction. wsop play money mobile App.

And after having a hard time increasing my play money BR on it I decided to go to more serious Apps like PS.

From there I started to grasp the game dynamics a bit more.

And now it’s been mostly about evolving in the game, being able to apply the theory and subsequently earning some money out of it.

And I’ve learned that if it’s only for the money you’ll loose focus on everything else related to the game and end up not making any money in the end.

So I play to evolve on the game.
I play because I like the challenge.

I really enjoy playing. I would also enjoy winning more than I currently do. I'm still new to the game so I have plenty to learn. But it has developed into a fun hobby.

Although I initially loved to play poker online and I started playing for profit, like any other players i guess, what attracted me the most after, while playing online was the fact that I saw I could qualify from online satellites for a major live events in some very attractive tourist areas and prestigious poker casinos like in Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Prague and so on.

I later formed a dream, to be able to play live with the biggest poker stars players in the world.
I hope that one day it will be fulfilled.

First and foremost I play because I enjoy the way it challenges the brain and always keeps you thinking. I started playing with play money but soon realised that people don't play the same way with play chips as they do when their hard earned cash is on the line. So I deposited and haven't looked back. I enjoy the challenge of trying to make the right decision, most of the time. I also enjoy learning and reading books about poker. It never stops. Also, earning a little extra money on the side isn't bad at all. I can't dedicate the time to play full-time and nor would I really want to.

both . for me it is a VERY fun game . the excitement of which 2 cards you are gonna get dealt , the excitement to look what you will hit on the board ....especially when you have a pocket ...the feeling of hitting a set is so nice , the mind games against your opponents , trying to read your opponents , trying to get maximum value . the bittersweet feeling of the unknown (what will come on the flop / turn / river and what cards your opponents actually hold) etc.

and yes the desire to make money
