It all started with me just watching streams on Twitch, then I tried playing myself, and now it's my hobby that I dedicate a lot of time to.

I started playing poker because a friend invited me to the casino and a few days before he had taught me how to play.

Hello.
I often watched my colleague play at work and eventually became interested in poker myself. More than 5 years have passed and now poker is my favorite pastime.

In the beginning, I thought of poker as a regular card game. Then I realized that poker is the path to independence.

I can say that a friend brought me to poker, but I continue to play because of the possibilities of poker in my spare time.

At first it was a hobby. I played recreationally without worrying about my bankroll and the tournaments I played. Gradually, I began to understand the nuances of the game and the possibilities it offers. I understood that it was necessary to study and have a consistent volume of games to be profitable in the long run. After I understood that, I started to have poker as a profession.

For fun and as it happens in life, fun turned into a hobby. Which also gives fun but also satisfaction from the game. But in fact, it's been a long time from the first adventures with cards as a kid to playing online.

Because I didn't find a better way to fill the time between sleep and idleness. Silence, a cigarette, various drinks - complete relaxation. One downside is bad personalities spoiling the mood with their bet beats on the river.

I have been playing Card and Board games all my life, I could set up a chess board by the time I could walk, Wooden jigsaws were so easy I did them face down since I was 5 years old.
Playing Blackjack before I went to school, so that I could count and add up before the other kids, and when I was almost old enough to enter Pubs legally I could play most Pub games involving Cards and Dominoes.
Poker was just a natural progression, the only thing was I didn't like to gamble, I did, I will admit it, I just didn't enjoy losing money, so given the chance to play on-line for free was a blessing for me.
Playing games as kids, there is only one thing you aimed for and that was the Win! No money involved, just the feeling of success when you were the best on the day, Something you could brag and boast about for the rest of the day,
Poker is no different, and playing for free gives you a great feeling when you finish in 1st place, regardless that no money is involved, you can play on Facebook Apps, and other game sites for points as prize's, and they are a great way to take baby steps in the game,
You only have to remember that when money becomes a factor the game suddenly changes, it becomes more serious, and you have to change your playing style and skills to advance in the game, but the only way to learn, is to play and lose, so that you learn from your mistakes.

My grandpa taught me how to play when I was really little, and played it with friends from school and such, using snacks as chips. But it wasn't until 2006 that I really got into poker. I didn't keep up with the poker world until my then roommate, who has big into poker, wanted to teach me Texas Hold 'Em. I passed on it for months, but he was persistent. So, I finally caved and said, "ok." He showed me strategies and such for about 3 months. Then I played in my first tournament - a free bar tournament, and ended up winning it with about 30 people in it. Won $20 and a poker set. I've been hooked every since.
