Hi all,
Cardschat Ambassador Dara O'Kearney has just released his third poker book.
Endgame poker strategy: The ICM Book is the first book to exclusively cover the subject of the Independent Chip Model (ICM) in tournaments. It covers everything related to ICM including:
• How to adjust your play in the late stages of tournaments
• When to ladder and when to play for the win
• How to negotiate profitable final table deals
• The optimal game selection, rebuy and late registration strategies
• How to play short, average and big stacks at the end of tournaments
“In an era of solvers and preflop charts, game states involving ICM pressure remain one of the few unsolved and untapped areas of poker. Endgame Poker Strategy does an excellent job of clearly explaining the most important ICM ideas and effects. Whether you are a beginning player looking to build an understanding of how ICM works, or a more advanced player looking to better internalise ICM concepts, there is something in this book for you.” - Daniel Dvoress, high stakes poker player
Exclusive Raffle for Cardschat Members
As Dara is a Cardschat Ambassador, he is giving away five digital copies of the book to Cardschat members.
He already has a very popular AMA thread on tournaments in the forums here. All you have to do to have a chance of winning a copy is to post a strategy question to Dara in that thread between October 5 and October 14.
We will pick the five best questions as the winners after that. The better your question, the better your chances. Dara will also answer the questions as he always does, but it might be after the winners are announced.
Ask Dara anything about satellites, PKOs or ICM
Thanks to Debi at Cardschat for letting us do this
