I just finished watching a WPT Bay 101 Tournament on TV.

The final table featured Jennifer Harman.

I have never seen a worse bunch of final table plays in my life. Literally - dumb and inexcusably passive or thoughtless moves on just about every single hand.

This is more frustrating than a bad beat, because one of those tools just won a million dollars.

lol

Keep in mind alot of those players are interested in getting as much cash as they can, so they let other players bust out first, that happens when you dont have a lot of players that are only interested in winning, like most tourney pros do.

I don't think that was so much the issue.

Just really bad reads, really bad notions of pot odds or worthwhile gambles. Overall lack of aggression... You have to wonder how the heck they got to a final table playing like that.

...Not sure, I just caught the last 40 minutes of the show.

I know it was a bounty game at the Bay 101.

He was bullying, but not nearly enough. He really could have played a lot better. He still won though because he was lucky so many of his opponents were so stupid. Literally, terrible short stack play by the rest of the table - including Jen Harman, who didn't grow a sack until it was too late.

Too many passive calls. Too many family pots.

Should have been a lot more all-ins pre-flop at that level.

They should have gone big or gone home, but instead they waited around to magically check their way to first place.

It is so easy when you get to see everyones cards.

Exactly.

Brandon Cantu and Steve Sung are 2 of the very top players in the world (especially Cantu).

I watched this last night and the fold with pocket 10's only to call an all in with AK the next hand was a very bad move.

Yea there was alot o fbad poker being played. When that guy called the reraise with K3 suited was horrible then calling the all in with just the flush draw was even worse. I was glad he didnt hit. I mea what could u possibly be thinking there preflop. You raise he reraises, u reraise he comes over the top and u call just shows u why jamie gold is bad for poker. So many donkeys out there trying to follow in his foot steps

Harman and Phan are hardly slouches either - obviously I've not seen the episode, but from the lineup I would've expected this to be a decent episode...
