Would like information on suited cards.

I keep hearing sooted pair in the chat boxes and I've not been able to figure out what it means as far as betting ? I assume that they are talking about hole cards and like 2 clubs, 2 hearts, 2 spades, 2 diamonds. I know what ASSUME means, but are they talking about building on a flush ?

IMHO most of the time it's just a joke, like saying you want to get dealt suited Aces since you can't seem to win with just any 2 Aces. :wink:

It's gotta be a joke. In Omaha you can have a double suited pair, like Kh Kc 3h 6c, where your pair is suited with the other cards, but in holdem it's probably a joke. After all, it's in the chat box...

As said above it is usually a joke. Alot of ppl believe if their cards are suited it makes the hand stronger, which is why someone might toss in chat, I was sooted. It is making fun of those believers, hence the silly spelling of suited.

They would likely be joking.

They would be talking about their hold cards and if playing NLHE, it is impossible to have a suited pair like Ac Ac.

Most of the time in NLHE they would likely be referring to "suited connectors" like 8c 9c or 5s 6s.

It always makes me laugh when someone gets married to a hand and loses miserably, but tries to justify it because they were suited. That extra 2% chance of winning must really help..

Years ago in the Marines, we played a variety of game types, but I do not play Omaha, but have watched some on TV occasionally. Several types of games on Full Tilt, but I don't play them as at my age soon to be 73 I have someheimers but not Alzheimers, so I stick with what I feel like I do best. Thanks for the reply. Yeah, it's just an attempt at humor. When asked what my hole cards were, I'll often say "pocket jokers".

YEs as everyone's saisd, just a joke. If someone says i've got suited jacks they are just joking around as you cannot get two jacks of the same suit. Just like I have A friend who says hes flopped a flush or quads on a rainbow unpaired board lol
