We always see a thread or comment from someone who asks if there are cheats in online poker or complains about it. If you had the tools and knowledge, would you cheat at the poker tables to win as much money as possible?

It is against everything that I am to cheat. I didn't even cheat at Monopoly.

"But who would know?" I would know, and I wouldn't feel good about myself if I cheated.

Even if I had a tool that could see my opponents cards, I still wouldn't chest
It goes against everything I stand for, morals and principles, most importantly it would changey whole view on Poker and I don't want that, I love the coolers, unlucky turns and rivers, it's part of the game. U need to embrace that

Do you think they'd use GTP chat tools to decide whether to play a hand or not? It's possible, but at a live table, they'd get tired of losing because they relied on it.

I don't think I would cheat.
I am sure most people feel they would not cheat, but that can easily change if the money is a lot and you can get away with it.

No one will admit it to you here. I used bonus hunting.Bonus hunting is not scary for other users of the room. This poker cheating affects only the room itself. The essence of the deception is that I registered with the purpose of acquiring a bonus. As soon as the money is received and played back, I withdraw it and never return.

Nah, I like the game far too much to get banned for cheating from everywhere, and cheating is just boring and no fun.

Like a lot of things you'll never really know until something happens. All that you can really hope for in this case is that you've prepared yourself by not cheating for small things, and hope that your training carries over to the big things.

I feel like cheatting when players take too long and sit out during a play I am in then I put chips just to take them out of the table, then they reenter soon enough. Its embarrasing a bit but formally not cheating, just not a sportsman thing.

While I can admit to being a huge AH when/if a situation requires it 95% of the I'm time just a big cuddly teddy bear now days .....one thing I'm not is a cheater or liar. Cheaters and jackasses are bad for the game and attracting new players and appealing to the avg joe public.

This is an important question and one that gets asked a lot, especially by new players or those going through a rough patch.

Personally, I believe cheating exists in any field where money is involved, and poker is no exception. Whether it's through external software or collusion between players, there have definitely been some real cases. But that doesn’t mean every loss is due to cheating. Most of the time, it's just natural variance or decision-making mistakes.

As for the idea of cheating— even if I had the tools and knowledge, I'm totally against it. For me, poker is a game of strategy and intelligence, and any win achieved through cheating is meaningless. The real joy comes from outplaying your opponents with smart decisions, not manipulation.

That said, it's still important to play on trusted platforms and take account security seriously.

I agree with the opinion that having a sufficient level of knowledge and experience, it is best to invest them in something useful for people and earn more. Fraud will not give development, gratitude, and in the end it can lead to a sad outcome.
