Anybody watch this last night?
Great show, however I wish Ferguson would have won another bracelet.
The only part that I did NOT like about the show was the rude attitude that Theo Tran had. He was the most immature 25 (I think he was 25, even though he acted like he was 12) year old that I have ever seen in my life.

I saw it. God, Tran was being an asshole. He was really burned when his Pocket Kings were beaten by A, 10. He goes up saying "How does bad play get rewarded like that?" First of all, the guy with A, 10 pushed all in before you. an A, 10 shortstacked is NOT a bad play. Then, he made a jaw dropping lawdown when the guy with pocket fours played aggressively and got Tran to fold his Pocket Aces (I think it really set him off when the guy with pocket fours showed him his hand). Tran's play was very erratic. It didn't need to be. He was getting a great streak of good cards. Meanwhile, Chris Ferguson sat there, patient and quiet. Tran finished 6th and ferguson finished 3rd. Tran can learn a thing or two from a pro like Ferguson.

I totally enjoyed it when the pocket fours were shown!!! And then Tran wanted to have words with the winner afterwards!! GAWD!!

I thought the last two plays were not that good .....

slept thru the early part of show

Chip leader gets beat slow playing top pair ... he... he ....
Then is all in 10-4 against AK ... and catches 10-4-10 flop ....

Hope he played better eariler ...

I am in no way a Theo Tran fan, but I think he had a little reason to be upset. I don't think he had the right to be an asshole, but the way Mike Gno showed his bluff was obnoxious. He showed the fours and than screamed and laughed like a giddy little school girl. I think at a final table you should act with a little more class.

Gno was pretty obnoxious when he claimed that he knew which cards were coming on the flop when he got in a race situation. Than he called for a Jack on the river that ended up beating him. -- That was hilarious.

But, if Gno was just trying to put Tran on tilt, than mission accomplished. Overall the play was erratic all over the table, but it was pretty entertaining.

tbh the ending was sick nasty, SPOILER........the short stack guy HU had AK and moved all in PF after the first guy raised with 10 4 os, the flop comes 10 4 10, wow what a way to lose a bracelet....not to mention the turn was a 10 giving the guy quads....

i think the action was grant raised and "train guy" reraised and grant pushed allin with 10 4 o, and TG snap call..and flop the 10 4 boat.

just wish he wouldve had 10/8 and all my talk about deadliest hand in poker would have been cemented!!!

Tran wasn't playing good poker anyways. I don't think his behavior was all that horrible, but he has to reraise with AQ there on the hand he got knocked out with on A4. Sure I'm no pro, but I was real shocked he just smooth called that preflop raise 4 handed.

BTW for anyone that doesn't know that Hinckle guy who won isn't a bad player. He won FTOPS I Event #2.

I thought the show was awesome. Did anyone see the commercials by Absolute Poker? Those were HYSTERICAL!!! Wonder if a cleverly launched aggressive add campaign can attract more people to the site...

Yes Belladonna it is me! I have been away for quite some time. I have had many things going on in my life and have been way busy! I'll explain when I get time on another thread. Thank you!

Yes Tran was acting so out of line last night. To me I was excited when he laid down his Aces. It was a great play by the other guy ( I forget his name) He played the pocket 4's perfectly and made a good move. To me that is where the skill is overcoming the luck in poker. I just did a very simliar move last week at our local leauge game. I had 10 5 off suit, the guy before me had pocket queens. I let him lead until the turn and I bet big when an Ace hit to see if I could bluff at the pot and I did. I showed my crap hand and he wasn't happy, but respected the play and said nice hand.

Tran even said in his little interview that when somebody bluffs him like that he gets upset and says things. If David Williams or one of his other "friends" I would have been embarrased when he came over and started saying F this F that, he can't play....

Oh well, like mentioned above he needs to learn a thing or to from Chris Ferguson.

Yes and as for Hinkle, wow that 10 4 was a crazy hand and was the right time to go all in and catch some good cards...

I watched and thought it was a good tourney. Watching Jesus survive those allins was pretty cool. I thought theo was being an asshole when he kept talking bou tit but in the begining he was justified cuz that was just wrong how he flipped over the pkt 4s and then rubbed it his face that he bluffed thats just bad poker. Also that was a bad play going all in with the A10, he still had 13 big blinds it was a donkey move that got paid off.

lol according to Daniel the deadliest hand in poker is 10 7, and we all know who knows what the deadliest hand in poker is holding A 8, he obv found out the hard way

How can you guys think Tran was the one out of line? Gno was the ass. I for one thought Tran's reaction was understandable. Sure he tilted, but really it wasn't all that bad, especially compared to the "look at my awesome bluff I'm so great let's play some cards boys" production that Gno put on.

On a separate note, while I understand the let them bluff and try to keep the pot small theory, I really don't have much sympathy for the check call, check call, check call line with top pair when you get sucked out on.

Also, lol at the one dude's name being "Achin' head".

Both Ngo and Tran acted like dopes. And guess what, neither of them won. Tran still has to live with the fact that all of his friends have a bracelet and he doesn't, even though he claims to be better.

Ah well. At least it made a Jesus-centric episode slightly more entertaining.

I just watched it last night and I enjoyed it. I am so glad to be seeing some new footage. I don't play the way a couple of the players chose to but I think that bluff that was shown did accomplish what it was intended to do. He was pretty steamed after that for a good while and I am sure his play was effected.

Yes, that I forgot about.....If he is so much better than his friends, he would have a bracelet or two.
It was pretty disrespectful to his friends and a slap in the face the fact that he said he was better than most of them.......

Yeah, it really affected his play, all those short stacked donk shoves w AA and other premium hands

While it's possible that he played every hand after that, there is NO evidence of that from the broadcast. Almost all his [shown] hands were top quality, and he was never really that out of line (except for perhaps the very next hand they showed (Jx?) after the bluff).

it makes me sick when pros act like tran. grow up. everyone plays different acting like a jackass doesnt change the cards, and getting worked up just leads to tilted play. stupid stupid

Yeah that is the only sad thing about broadcasted events that are not live. You do not get to see every hand. Something else could have sparked the fire to make Tran upset, then the 4's put him over the edge. The only show the "Exciting" stuff, that helps boost ratings.
