So I was watching ESPN's coverage of the final table tonight and absolutely could not believe Lee Childs layed down his pocket queens during the second or third hand of the coverage. The way Yang played the hand there was no way he could have had KK, AA, or trips in my opinion. Every person I talked to could not believe he made that lay down. One friend stated he thought Childs was trying to make a superstar laydown and was influenced by the TV cameras.

I also wonder how he is feeling now knowing he probably would have knocked out the eventual champ.

If anybody else saw this feel free to comment.

The showed the final table on ESPN last night. Yang had Jacks. He re-raised before the flop and then re-raised all in after the flop. Like the OP, I couldn't believe Childs laid down those Queens, especially on a board full of rags. If he'd made that call, there very likely could have been a different Main Event champ. I know Childs was worried about Kings or Aces or maby even a flopped set, but sometimes you really just have to gamble - at least in my humble opinion.

I turned this on last night for a minute - but we were recording it on dvr and I figured I better wait and watch it with my husband when he gets back home.

He has managed to make it til now without knowing who wins - I have known all along and it has been so hard not to make comments lol!

i saw too, i think was the pression he have to be the first eliminated on the table, nobody wants that. And phillip hilm was almost sure yang was bluffing him cuz he wins almost all the hands, and try that play. =S Good final table.

Was anyone else slightly annoyed by all of Yang's praying? I mean honestly, why would God care who wins the wsop? His wife praying to make the others believers annoyed me too, Believers in what exactly? God or Yang winning the table?

The play at the FT was pretty bad in my opinion. I think everybody and I do mean everybody got caught up in the drama. For example, Hevad's all-in in the dark??? He was playing tight until that point, and he is a better player than Yang. Why would you take away your edge there. And when it was 3 handed that guy Rahme or whatever completely gave away his hand when he told Yang like 5 times real timidly it was his decision. Not to mention no one made a good lay down, Child's layed down QQ but it was to the worst player at the table. And Yang with the J8s lmao that was classic. Sorry, but I could barely watch that FT.
