This hand was recounted to a CardPlayer intern by Kevin Nathan, a player in the tournament. Nathan raises to $2,600 under the gun and Ariel Schneller re-raises all-in for another $22,000. Nathan quickly calls and shows pocket Kings. Schneller shows Q-7 off-suit and the flop isn't much help for him when it does not pair him and only puts two spades on the board to match Schneller's Queen. Lightning strikes, however, when running spades give Schneller a flush to beat out Nathan's Kings and Schneller takes down the pot of over $44,000 to double up.

"NO!!!!!," can be heard throughout the room from Matusow as the flop comes A J 2 . The 9 on the turn and the 2 on the river don't improve Matusow's hand, and he drops to $24,800. Ma wins the pot around $88,000. Matusow says afterward, "I knew he had A-K at best." He adds, "There's nothing like losing a $40,000 pot on the last hand of the night."

He was overheard often admitting to his table "I never looked, I promise I'm all-in blind."
