I am a recreational player, I do not think that while I work in what I do I can dedicate myself completely to poker to become a professional. I think it takes a lot of time and effort to become a Pro. Regards.

Well said, I agree with you. In any business, you need to try to become better, even if you are not a professional, and development in poker allows you to develop your best qualities.

Recreational now and play enough that I probably could transition to semi-pro. But I like playing for fun and don't want the 'hobby' to become a 'job'.

Getting Technical!

I am at a strange place with tags. Yet, when it comes to how I identify as Pro vs Recreational Player, I have always insisted I am a recreational player. While, I do some work in the space of community building for poker, and do enjoy some popularity. Spend considerable amount of time growing the game and it's popularity, my primary source of income does stay outside the Poker realm. I aspire some day that I will be good enough a player to mint the big bucks. But I will always cherish my Recreational Status.
