I love gambling. But i know my limits. Basically play with what you can afford to lose. If your not enjoying it. Its time to quit.

I found the following proposal in Scandinavia.

Check if you can hold out:
- Refrain from playing one day a week.
- Give up one week a month.
- Refrain from addiction for a whole month a year.

What do you think of this proposal?

Interesting side effect:
If you persevere, approx. 39% of all days of the year are free of play.
I play more poker, but I think it's a game of chance because to win it doesn't just depend on our luck sometimes someone wins, even bluffing bluffing is not luck

Withstood a maximum of 3 days without playing poker)

Gambler

I think that in the 22nd I played more than all my life ... haha, however I do not need to take breaks in the game since my job necessarily forces me not to play for many days.

I am not addicted to poker. I can play the game or not depending on what I have to do. Good luck to those of you that are addicted. Hope you win.

I spend a lot of time playing, but you need to understand that gambling has nothing to do with a professional approach. I can spend a long enough time without playing to say so.

Before if I was an addict, now I am no longer, and I have changed my style of playing and in general my lifestyle, I no longer see poker as something necessary, if I do not see it passively and calmly.

Why would I want to quit. I win money (not a lot) I live alone and have no-one to answer to. I got clean and sober in 1989. I think poker is a lot less harmful :) .

it's interesting, but the issue of not playing a full month could backfire.
the rhythm is lost.

The important thing is not to let the game be the priority in your life. For the rest, my opinion is that everyone is free to make their own decisions (good or bad).

I think if this so called addiction doesn't cause any harm to your health, financials, family, and friendships, then who gives a flip what you do. Neglecting areas of your life for any aspect mentioned above can be considered addiction. Work can become an addiction. Food can be an addiction. Doing too many hobbies can keep you from family. Heck, even 12 step meetings can be addictive to the point they strangle you from regular living. Finding a delicate balance between required activities and so called "fun" is the secret to a healthy life. Do what you do to pass the time, but leave time for the things in life that constitute life.

I love poker, I would call it passive addiction and of course, in one way or another we are all addicted to something, I define the game of poker as passive addiction, because, I play daily, several days several hours, and if it touches not play for various commitments, nothing happens, life goes on ,, discipline, patience, persevere and you will win ,,,, hard description of whether or not you are addicted to poker ,, but everything gives the kill ,, luck ,,, and Take it as what is a game of many variances that if you try hard you will win in the long run ...

An interesting test. I only play poker 4-5 days a week. Sometimes, once every six months, I take a longer break for 1-2 weeks. For the last 3-4 years I have not had a break longer than 1 month. For me, poker is a favorite hobby that brings pleasure.

Nonsense.
The main issue with gambling is not the frequency of playing but
the inability of controlling the money.
It is not smoking like - do it less then you will be healthier
it is more like cheating on a spouse - when you do it - it hurts.

Let the Scandinavians do what they are good at:
play with blocks,
play with furniture,
play with music

This test will not help me at all, since I am a poker newcomer and play mainly on weekends, because I have a basic job and I have no time to play poker every day since the games last a very long time! And people to whom poker brings a certain income, this is not necessary at all since they earn it! This method can only help those who constantly lose, but it does not notice at all! Do not judge my statement strictly, this is just my personal opinion and I have the right to it, like all of us! I want to wish you and everyone who plays poker only victories and good luck!
