I play as a hobby. Nice to have a hobby that I can also profit from to support my other hobbies.

Addiction... Maybe.

Poker has been similar to drugs to me. I feel like I have it under control and then I relapse. I've won thousands and lost thousands within hours. There's never a "tipping" point. I'm able to cut it off clean Turkey sometimes. I love this game as much as I hate it but that's why I play. It's provided me a life I only dreamed about but it's also given me nightmares I willfully walked into. So is it an addiction? To me, maybe.
