Bad beats are a statistical anomaly, but happen.  AA is not unbeatable pre-flop yet many players play AA like it's a lock to win hands.  The truth is players tend to get blinded by "pretty" hands like AA or KK.

If you have your opponent drawing to two outs on the river, 1 out of 20 hands they will win ON AVERAGE.  Key word - AVERAGE.  Just because you should win 19 hands of 20 doesn't mean you will win 19 hands of 20.  Over time, the statistics should level out to this, but looking and dwelling at one hand is absurd.  It happens and if you are fearful of donkeys calling your all in with 72o and hitting a 2, you're playing scared.  Let the donkeys play 72o - you'll win more often than not.  But will you win 100% of the hands?  Hell no.

Focus on making correct decisions when the odds are in your favour.  Playing solid poker outweighs luck overtime.  Don't get blinded by the one off bad beats.  We all take them.
