Can you legally run an online stream of a poker game?

What I mean by that was can I stream myself (utilizing software like Twitch.tv) playing poker? I have a couple of friends who I'd like to watch/criticize me play without downloading and making an account on Bovada.

The legality of streaming would not be the question, but does it go against sites (Bovada) policy. If they have no problem with it then who else would question you?

Here is the issue. If you have a regular residential home Internet connection, your upstream bandwidth will probably not be fast enough to accommodate video streaming.

3mb of upload is all you need for streaming

True... With a good compression software even less, but most residential connections are in a range of 64-128 kilobytes/s, which is way too low.

Really? Where do you live? If you have basic cable internet for about $30 a month in America you get an easy 5mb up

My upload speed is around 10 MB/s

I was just curious because my friends and I always stream stuff to each other, and they've wanted to watch me play live online poker before.

If you have that much upstream speed then you won't have any issues.

I guess that is referring to me. In all honesty, i was just trying to help.

You need to take a chill pill dude. some of the answers might not be" exactly "what your looking for but at least i tried to help by maybe giving you an option that might have had the same result that maybe you were unaware of.....

It was mainly directed at the people who keep bringing up that you have to have good upload speed for this. I literally JUST posted my upload speed and specified what I was asking for, only for someone else to go "ohey you need X upload speed for this". I wasn't trying to be mad about this, but you can't tell me that wouldn't frustrate you at all when almost nobody that's posted in a thread I have a serious question (to me) in has stated anything productive.

It can be Teamviewer or anything, but I just wanted to know about legal/online poker policy issues on doing this kind of thing.

Just be very careful with doing it. There have been many people cheated over the years by those they thought were helping them over teamviewer. You know...they're watching your screen, seeing your cards, and playing perfectly against you!

Alot of people look up people and google them etc. while at a table with them, I know I do from time to time. You have to hope they don't come across your stream especially if you are using same usernames.
