So who is your best friend in poker? You are clear!

I try to surround myself with winners #1. At the end of the day there is a scorecard in poker and I want to surround myself with the few who are on top. Because they will make me better, not just in poker, but in every aspect of my life.

I interviewed a guy yesterday on my website who fits this bill completely. He is one of the biggest mid stakes online winners in the world and also a personal friend of mine.

but if your friends are winners, and they're at your table, then you by comparison become a loser no?

You should surround yourself with losers, so you stand out as a winner imho

Just because the people you play with are not as good as you, this does not mean that you are "good". But if you play with good players, you can learn from them and learn to play your best game.

How as people says "that you have special friends doesn't makes you special" and its true. Anyway in poker my best friend is me and not even every time

I do not have friends in poker, I think is not right to be friends with someone in poker, when you play one table you will change your tactics game and it not good affect on the game

i personally don't have friends in the poker world because i'm not a very chatty person on the net but if i could meet some people around where i lived i would think that the shared experiences of the group would only serve to make the group better players

You are right if you are with winning sooner or later you will learn to win

I dont have a Best Friend in Poker, I think it's very difficult to find friends when almost no one talk while playing. I personally dont like to talk while playing.

Duffman08 , came up together back in the day playing every 4.40 180 man that ran on pokerstars, lol . Eventually we chatted it up after seeing each other all the time and went on to discuss strat , and rail each other througout our mtt careers pre BF . God I miss that guy <3 , FU Black Friday ! ! !

Wow this is an interesting subject, and I really want to not make this like I do most of the time? The first thing is that talk about being around winner or losers and both for a lot different reasons. I have to agree %100 about having only winners in my circle. A losers are for the pickers. But you know what, I will get on here and try to help every one that crosses my path if I can. So the two worlds are very far apart

Yeah I know the question is about playing with friends. Love to play with them. I have no problem taking their money and neither do they. I want to tell a little story about the best friend I have that plays poker online.

We playing a MTT, one player gets mad and they get into it, and to this day I don't know why I pick Matt to help, and we got in there and tried to tilt him all we could. Afterward Matt and I got from the other every way we could be contacted. So we start talking and playing the same MTTs and cash tables. This went on I don't know how many years, but every day of it was a lot of fun. Well one day we got started talking about how it would be to end up heads up at the FT. We cashed a lot but only one time we got to the FT and it really happed. We went heads up. I had him covered five times. When we started I put it on post/fold, and he is raising hell about what I was doing. My plan was to post/fold until we got even, no matter what, and best hand win. He liked that. When we went all in I had 56 and he had K6. I hit the 5 on the flop and he hits the 6 on the river. I will never forget it, and even though we don't talk much anymore, he is still a good friend
