I've been thinking about the small things we can do during a game that actually make a difference. Here are 10 tricks I try to keep in mind:
1. Play more hands in position and fewer out of position.
2. Don't automatically call just because you already invested chips.
3. Pay attention to bet sizing, not just whether someone bets.
4. Take a few seconds before making important decisions.
5. Don't bluff players who simply don't like folding 😂
6. When someone suddenly changes their usual bet size, take notice.
7. Protect your stack when you're deep in a tournament.
8. Don't let one bad beat change how you play the next hand.
9. If you're unsure about a hand, think about your opponent's possible range instead of just your own cards.
10. Know when you're tired or tilted and take a break.
None of these are magic tricks, but I think using them consistently can save a lot of mistakes.
Which one would you add to the list?
