Has anyone here built from a Br of $30.00 or less?

lol just came across this thread and the concept of it amuses me

But, just a point of fact, I was given 5 dollars on pokerstars back in mid 2003...haven't deposited since and have been playing for a living since late 2003. Intelligence and determination can make amazing things happen :)

I first play freeroll tournament and get $30, then I started to play sit & go tournament at about 1.2 or 2.25 so I came up to $80. I also played cash game limit games and earn some money. My advise to you is to play freerolls and limit cash games.

Im playing in 888 and PS (was in FT too) starting from nothing, by grinding FR and then LHE micro stakes.
Try keeping good BR management when possible and use ur patiente and discipline, you will go up.

Hey guys just wanted some motivation and would love to here stories and posts that helped you guys do this
Shaun Deeb (TedsFishFry on FulltiltPoker) online MTT player, started his online poker career with a single deposit of $30. In his first 2weeks he ran that $30 up to more than $33,000. Not sure what his total 'profit' is now but somewhere in the neighbourhood of $2.3mil just on Stars & FTP (not sure about UB/AP).

What about Tom Dwan? Not sure about his story exactly but I believe he started out by playing 'play-money' tables on Paradise Poker but then made a small deposit (I heard it was $50?.. & not sure if he made more than one?). By the time he turned 18yrs. he had won ~$15k. He then switched to playing on cash tables, playing 'limit $40/$80 for awhile before switching to NoLimit $5/$10.

I guess it's possible.

Chris Ferguson did a challenge where he started a bankroll from free-rolls. It is a great way to make yourself a more patient, and better poker player in my opinion.

I think those that deposit large amounts of money to start, unless they have strong past poker experience, tend to treat their bankroll with less respect than those who had to build it from the ground up. Maybe I am wrong on that.

Seriously though in 2 weeks? well we know for sure he didn't follow proper BRM and therefore got a hand from lady luck...

I started with €20. What I have right now is nothing to brag about though. :)

Iv'e grinded my bankroll on lock poker from $40 to over $100 twice now,I grinded my bankroll playing omahahi/lo,microsng, and dons. But got back down to $40 twice playing BJ and roulette. I don't have to worry about that anymore becuase i emailed support asking if theres a way to take off the casino. They were really cool about it and locked the casino and sidegames from my account and gave me $33 tourney ticket to comp for my loss. I am a very bad gambler.

I went from $30 to $400 and withdrew $330 and left $70. I then went from $70 to $540. Withdrew most and left $70. Now I am at $160.

Maybe someday I can afford to leave my poker money alone and make some serious money :D
