Sometimes we tend to have enough of a possible move to put an end to those aggressive opponents, but... they bet everything on you and only with the last card left on the table..., I have been in both situations, when you pay and lose for not being the card you expected or when you pay and win with exactly that card...

Something like this happens to all of us and it only helps us to improve.
I see it as a win/win, in reality we never lose because sometimes we lose against the rival, you have lost the game, yes, but you have gained the experience you will need in the next games you play...

And the other one, where you win, is simply the consequence of having lost too much before.

If your hand beats enough bluffs → call.
If it only beats very unlikely bluffs → fold.
If you’re very unsure, it’s probably a fold (especially at low/mid stakes).

Position position. Take the fish bait when it makes sense or if your stack needs feeding. I tend to play hard and get a little more wild as the tournament goes on. How much the buy in also matters. That’s cash and MTT

When you bet you get 2 chances to win, 1 if you have the best hand and 2 if your opponent thinks you do.

When you limp and call, you have to have the best hand to win.

I get your point, but I think it’s important to separate results from decisions. Calling or betting shouldn’t be about “ending the hand” or hoping the last card saves you, it should be about whether the play is +EV in the long run.

Sometimes you’ll make the right decision and lose, and sometimes you’ll make a bad one and win. The key is being honest about that, because that’s where real improvement comes from.

Well said, every game is a mix of risk and learning. Win or lose, each moment helps you grow and make better decisions next time.

Before I bet I ask myself what worse hand would call here, or what better hand would fold here. Always have a purpose.
