Bluff too much or too little... how do you balance that? 🤔

Say a bunch! Is everything all right with you?

One thing I keep thinking about my game is about bluffing...

There are times when I think I bluff a little and I end up being predictable. But when I try to increase the bluffs, it seems that I choose the wrong time and call every time lol 😅🤣

Just yesterday I bluffed on a commercial and made a call

Then I'm left in that middle ground not knowing if I'm exaggerating or being too conservative.

Especially in tournaments, depending on the moment, the question arises: is it worth taking risks here or is it better to hold back?

I wanted to hear from you:

👉 do you usually bluff a lot or do you play more “no value”?

👉 are there any criteria you use to choose bluff spots?

Because here I'm still adjusting this to my game... 👊♠️

Let's go upstairs...

Do you remember a bluff that worked out very well... or one that seemed brilliant until the villain called? 😂 kkkk

The right time to bluff depends on the hand and your style of play; if your game changes dramatically when you bluff, either because you rush or take too long, a good player is likely to notice the change and analyze your game.

There is no middle ground here; it all depends only on the moment of distribution.
If you bluff a lot, you'll give up your stack quickly, you'll bluff a little, you'll give your stack away more slowly.
If you start bluffing, you should keep going, but as soon as you get a tribute, you should probably quit the giveaway.
However, a tribet can also be bluff, so you need to read your opponent a little bit.

Bluffing has less to do with cards and more to do with the people you are playing with.
The extremes are: you bluff a lot if the table is made up of nits and no one will call without the nuts. You never bluff if the table is made up of calling stations. Bluffing is not a strategy , it is a tool to use. You do it if the conditions are right and you don't do it if the conditions are wrong , whichever way is successful in winning the pot.

In tournaments, the most profitable bluffs are usually the ones made in the right spots, not necessarily in large numbers. Two or three well-timed big bluffs can have much more impact than bluffing constantly. It also depends on the image you have at the table and the type of opponents you’re facing. Some players fold easily, while others call too much, so you really have to adapt your game to the flow of the tournament and the table dynamics.

I still find it difficult to balance that too
What I noticed is that a lot of people pay very easily at micro stakes, so sometimes it seems better to bluff less and bet more for value. When I start to be very creative, I usually end up getting into trouble.
