I think one underrated skill in poker is knowing when to switch gears.
If you play tight the entire session, observant players will start folding too much against you. But if you stay aggressive nonstop, people eventually catch on and start trapping.
The best players seem to know when to slow down, when to apply pressure, and when to completely change the table dynamic.
I’ve been trying to become less predictable instead of playing at the same speed all session long.
Do you consciously change gears during a session, or do you mostly stick to one style?
