Do you change your playing style depending on the table?

Some days you sit at a table where everyone calls any bet. On others, it seems like any raise makes everyone fold.

In these situations, is it best to stick to your style or adapt your strategy?

I, for example, think that insisting on the same pattern at any table ends up costing chips.

Against very loose players, I usually value my strong hands more. Against more closed tables, I try to take advantage of spots to steal blinds and put pressure on.

Another thing I always observe is who is to my left and to my right.

The position of the more aggressive or more passive players greatly influences my decisions, from hand selection to bet sizing.

Small adjustments like these, in the long run, can make a big difference in the results.🤓

Yeah we should always be adjusting to our opponents. Observe what they are doing right, what they are doing wrong, and formulate a plan of attack. Winners make adjustments.

Yeah I agree. Adjusting to players, their stack sizes, stage of tournament. It’s a fun game and the more you learn how to make adjustments the funner it becomes!

Effective poker is about playing ranges. Humans do not play GTO ranges therefore we use Table Dynamics as you pointed out to adapt our play to the ranges these humans play. "TD" always dictates how we interact with our Villains as we are interacting with their demonstrated ranges.

Adjust your strategy to the table. Play for value at loose tables, steal more at tight tables, and adapt to your opponents' tendencies.
