Which Do You Prefer AK or JJ?

AK or JJ? hrmmm

I would choose JJ if at a certain seat (last in line) ... Then I could see a flop and then I would make a decision. If a J came down then I'd go all in. If an AK came on flop then I'd be worried. Not much other than if they had AA or KK. Depends how they play it before it came to me.

I prefer AK. In the times when I have these cards in my hands, I manage to develop aggressive moves that allow me to take the pot.

AK a lifetime! if they are the same color you have more projects and greater chances of winning compared to JJ

Both are good cards but I prefer AK even if you fight a JJ and not even a K enters you are fried

a pair in hand gives you a better chance of linking the set but jj against AK it's hard to talk about preferences since the second one is in the strongest hands to play

Both are good, but should watch out for higher cards when you play JJ.

AK or JJ.. both are tempted and dangerous options. You could loose a lot at tables if play both wrong.
I probably play agressively pocket Jacks and AKs. In the case of AKo I rather be more carefully according to my table position.

I try to play them the same way, basically I am attempting to look at what range of cards am I playing in a particular position on the table depending on where we are in an MTT (I don't play much cash anymore). All of my positional hand ranges obviously include both these hands whether opening or responding to an RFI.

As for my preference I really don't have one until the flop LOL

A pair over the hand is always more likely to win the hand, but not always. I am more inclined to JJ than to AK

Lost 3 times with AK against JJ this week. So I lean more towards JJ.

I like JJ than AK. Because, JJ is stronger than AK at pre-flop.

I seem to be very unlucky with AK so I think I prefer JJ ... even though they often ultimately get beat by AK. 🤔
