How do I know if I'm playing tilted?

Sometimes I think I'm calm, but then I see that I've forced bad hands. Are there any tilt signs that I can identify quickly?

Anytime something is bothering you enough to push you out of your A game, this includes something really good also like winning a huge pot and now that’s all your thinking about and can’t concentrate on what’s happening right now.

Simple test -- Check your finger nails.

If you cant see them because they're dug deep into your palms, you are probably tilted.

Yes, that’s a very familiar feeling 😅
Sometimes we think we’re calm, but our actions at the table show otherwise.
Some quick signs you can notice: you start playing too fast without thinking, you enter every hand (even bad ones), or you try to recover losses immediately.
If you notice any of these, take a short break, breathe, and come back with a clear mind — tilt doesn’t spare even the best players!

If negative thoughts dominate over positive ones like "OMG not again" or "Why does this happen to me all the time" or "How can he call with that hand" (and then win), then you are probably tilted, and its time to take a break. A simple way to think about it is, that poker is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. So if you are not enjoying to play, then something is not right, and its better to stop and do something else.

Of course if you are playing tournaments, you need to finish them first. But you can stop registering for more tournaments and try to force yourself to get out of the negative mindset. Like maybe think about your last big tournament win, how much you are up overall, or something completely non poker related, that makes you happy.

I think it's when you deviate from your A game, which is almost always the effect of emotions.
