bankroll management advice varies wildly depending on who you ask. Some players are comfortable with 20 buy-ins, while others refuse to move up without 100+.

What bankroll rules have worked best for you throughout your poker journey?

I once had one buy in and that gave me my largest win ever 😅 😅 😅 but I would be more comfortable with minimum 15 buy ins

More bankroll is needed for:
Large-field MTTs.
Games with many highly aggressive recreational players.
Turbo or hyper-turbo formats.
Games with high rake.
Less bankroll is needed for:
Regular cash games with a stable edge.
Lower-variance formats.

at the indian casinos near where i live in san diego the cut is so high in the daily tournaments ( 2 to 5 tables ) , and the rake so heavy in the small no limit holdem ring games ($1/2 , $1/3 ) you're not likely to last no matter how many buyins your bankroll has or how well you play . if you step up to a bigger cash game ($2/5 or $5/10 ) the drop won't be such a high percentage of the pot ,but your opponents will probably be significantly more talented .

I think that 20 is really low. I've had sessions of +30 games.
100 is good I guess. I like to move up at +150 buy ins of the new level.
