Poker is about winning chips more than pots. No one says, "That Daniel Negreanu sure is great. He wins so many pots ". No one cares about that stat. In fact that stat is rarely tracked. When we judge the big names we go by the winnings rankings and bracelets.
You want to do it with multiple small pots? You're staying in low gear. It's also mathematically more difficult to win enough small pots to equal the winnings of your big pot wins.
Small pots are great when you're card dead or semi card dead, the steals, the c-bet bluffs, etc, but don't kid yourself, you make the final table when you hit your set mine on a dry board and stack off with top pair for a big one
