Your table image can influence how opponents react to your bets. If you play tight for a long time, your bluffs may get more respect. If you play loose, people may call you lighter.

Yes, table image is important. If I play tight, I try to use that for some bluffs later. If I play loose, I know people will call me more, so I value bet stronger hands more.

110% your table image is important As said above play too many hands and no one will respect your raises or bluffs. Play TAG or very few hands and your raises and when you're in a hand you'll get respected and other players will play more to control the pot because they don't wanna get involved in a huge pot with you unless they already have it that is. I don't limp preflop often but as a mainly TAG player when I do even my limps get respected . I laugh but I'm not joking.
