For me, the single most indispensable strategy is solid bankroll management combined with positional awareness. You can be the most skilled player at the table, but if you don't manage your money right or keep playing out of position, variance will eventually wipe you out. Playing tight-aggressive (TAG) from late positions is the absolute foundation of being profitable.

What is a bad game? a game that the pots are soo small you cannot win faster than the rake sucks it away from you. If the rake is 10% and you have a 5% edge on the table just leave.
What is a good game--loose passive players playing many pots.
