You were going to lose anyway, his top card is higher and bigger!Kirbs69 said:How is this not a chop... Did the Q phucked me? Or was I losing this no matter what.
So why sometimes when I have him out kicked it's a chop. If there's an ace does that mean we get a chop?narc said:You were going to lose anyway, his top card is higher and bigger!
The best 5 card hands that can be made here are KKQT7 & KKQ87....Kirbs69 said:So why sometimes when I have him out kicked it's a chop. If there's an ace does that mean we get a chop?
What do you mean by that?Lodestone said:Its chopped if the board plays not your kicker
Makes sense but what I am asking, why sometimes when I have them out kicked but all of the sudden it's a chop.dannystanks said:KKQ T7 beats your KKQ87.
Sounds about right. But why am I chopping sometimes when I have them out kicked?MK_ said:The best 5 card hands that can be made here are KKQT7 & KKQ87....
the Q is shared by both hands but he has a T7 hand and you have an 87 hand....,
to check the strength of your hand start with the highest cards and count down👍
No that I understand. Its when I have them out kicked is what I don't understand. But it's still a chopsibkaz said:You need to understand a weak kicker...
Huh 😒 can you speak like a normal person pleasesibkaz said:You have to take a hit... Otherwise you'll fall often...
Because your kicker is counterfeited by the board. If the board isKirbs69 said:But why am I chopping sometimes when I have them out kicked?
.. it's all about the best 5 card hand you can make, the board may help or hurt your hand, or you may both end up with the same 5 card hand then it's a chop👍Kirbs69 said:Sounds about right. But why am I chopping sometimes when I have them out kicked?
So only a pair on the board can chop?fundiver199 said:Because your kicker is counterfeited by the board. If the board is, then
and
both have two pair KK and 22 with a Q kicker, and your J kicker does not play.
Tf are you on about...sibkaz said:Sorry if I'm not making myself clear... It's just that 2 + 2 doesn't equal 10
So any time the board is paired there is a high likelihood to be chopping then?MK_ said:.. it's all about the best 5 card hand you can make, the board may help or hurt your hand, or you may both end up with the same 5 card hand then it's a chop👍
Well it depends on the players cards and what each can make from the board, ...for the hand you posted here if there was a pair on the board with the shared KKQ you both would have the same hand, you both could have KKQ66, or KKQ22, or KKQJJ you still chop,Kirbs69 said:So any time the board is paired there is a high likelihood to be chopping then?
No a kicker can also be counterfeited on an unpaired board. This just typically require a lower kicker, because 3 cards on the board need to be beat the kicker. But onKirbs69 said:So only a pair on the board can chop?
Mk explained it better. But I love that you are getting involved tho. Thanks for that.fundiver199 said:No a kicker can also be counterfeited on an unpaired board. This just typically require a lower kicker, because 3 cards on the board need to be beat the kicker. But onhands like
and
both have AAKT9 and chop the pot. This is basically why, weak aces dont have much equity edge against each other. A5o only has 56% equity against A3o, because a lot of runouts will counterfeit a 5 kicker, and a chopped pot will be very common. AKo on the other hand has 74% equity against AJo.
It's already been explained. Thanks for getting involved tho 😉 🤠Mario7 said:The best 5 cards combo wins (of board+hand). So, as already mentioned KKQT7 beats your KKQ87. In this case your 8 plays against vilian's T (and loses).
