Day 18 completed, I believe it's crucial to understand how to use your opponent's betting patterns to deduce a potential range of poker hands they might be playing. This is essential for making informed and strategic decisions at the table. Thank you for today's lesson!

If I make a mistake, how do I determine if my error was due to bad hand reading (my logic failed) or if my opponent was simply playing a hand that didn't make sense and was outside the range I assigned him?

We are not all going to get things correct all the time. I bet if you asked Colin or Katie, they would be able to describe a time where they got it wrong, but the main thing is that they would be able to recall the exact game, hand and bets etc. - You know why? Cos that is in their memory banks to make sure they don't do similar again.

I believe you could sit down and run through the hand and list your thoughts at different times within the hand. Once you do that, you will be able to see where it ultimately went wrong.

This then would be in your memory bank, for if a similar situation happens again, and no doubt it will.

Learn by our mistakes, is the best medicine.
