I appreciate you saying it directly, I’m not bothered by criticism. I started this conversation about underrated aspects of poker because I’m trying to grow and look at the game from different angles. My style may seem repetitive, but that doesn’t mean I’m not analyzing or trying to adjust. Everyone improves at their own pace. The point of the thread was to discuss the concept, not my personal play style. But it’s fine — I take your comment as honest feedback.I play exactly the way I enjoy playing. I embrace the risk and I’m not chasing profits at all costs. For me, the game is about feeling and flow, not about obsessively hunting wins. When I actually set the intention to win, I play disciplined — and it usually happens. Everyone has their own style and reasons for playing, and I stick to mine.

After about five years of playing, I think the most underrated aspect is everything that happens outside the cards. Choosing the right table, playing well rested, maintaining a mental routine, and managing both the frustration and euphoria of victory make a big difference. And, above all, knowing how to adapt to each table: there is no single strategy that works equally well against all opponents.

You make solid points about everything that happens outside the cards — I agree those factors matter a lot. Personally, I play in a style that I enjoy and that fits me. I’m not chasing wins and I’m not trying to copy ‘optimal’ strategies — for me, poker is also about instinct, rhythm, and enjoying the moment. When I decide to play disciplined, I do it, and the results follow. But yes, adapting to the table and managing your mental state are definitely among the most underrated aspects of poker.
