I find that long periods without playable hands can easily become frustrating and it makes me want to play with marginal hands just to get a chance to play. These are nearly always mistakes.

Absolutely, you cannot win a tournament quickly. Sometimes it can be 5,6 hours or more, so patience is key in poker. 🔑
