When you get Pocket Aces pre-flop, do you prefer to trap your opponents with a slow play, or do you immediately raise big to build the pot? 🤔 I'm always confused with AA 😵‍💫

At normal stack depths, never ever EVER slow play ANY hand pre-flop. Open AA normally like you would with any hand in your opening range. Slow plays are only made with monster hands. AA pre is only a pair. It is not a monster. If you try to trap this with deep stacks, all that you do is invite suckouts in multiway pots when you have no read on your opponents.

The only time to slow play AA is when trapping a short stack, and usually we want isolation when this happens. This way, if we get sucked out, it doesn't cost us much because the short stack doesn't really threaten us.

With pocket aces, I usually prefer raising normally rather than slow playing. AA is strong, but you still want to build the pot and avoid giving opponents a cheap chance to improve. I’d only consider trapping in specific situations, depending on the table and the opponents

I have learned not to slowplay AA. It hurts when they hit on a limp, and you feel silly for not raising.:):):)
