Professional players probably play sessions of around 8 hours, although it can be less or a little more depending on the player. From what I've seen when streamers play tournaments, sessions can often last around that long.

Just play as much as you can and focus on improving. Don't try to force yourself to play for hours and hours. Learn and get better during whatever amount of time you can dedicate to poker.

I don't have a specific answer for that but sitting down 6+ hours per day for a hobby is too much for everyone. Of course this getting worse as we getting older. I mean many pros have a physique , a sedentary lifestyle is not ideal.

Personally I have made some 8h+ sessions in the past and it was too much for me, I was starting losing focus after 6h+.

If its a regular working day, then probably not more than a few hours, since you also need time to eat, rest, sleep etc. If you are not working, then its probably to play for as long, as you can still remain fresh and focused. If you are starting to feel tired, or losing interest in the game, then its time to end your session. You should also take breaks during long sessions. With MTTs there is an hourly break, but if you play many hours on a saturday or sunday, you probably also want to take a lunch- or dinnerbreak of at least an hour.

Everybody is different. Lots of good ideas here. I think the amount of time played can be built up if mental fatigue is an issue, but more important is recognizing when it is happening and knowing when to take a break, when you are no longer playing your best poker and your expectations for the game have shifted to something unreasonable.

It all depends on which games you're talking about, and also on how much time you'll have to stay in front of the PC screen and the world outside it

Great questions! To avoid fatigue, most regular players find that keeping daily sessions around 4 to 6 hours (broken down into chunks with short breaks) is the sweet spot for maintaining focus without burning out. Professional players might grind longer, but quality always beats quantity in poker.

Here are a few tips and tricks for the long term:
Time Management / Session Caps: Set a strict time or hand limit per day rather than playing until you tilt or exhaust yourself.

Physical Health: Incorporate regular exercise, good sleep hygiene, and proper nutrition. Staying physically fit and active helps drastically with mental stamina during long grinds.

Mental Breaks: Use the timer between sessions to step away from the screen, stretch, or hydrate to keep your mind fresh.

Consistency and health will always take you further than sheer volume!
