Selective aggression is a pretty broad term but if we know that passivity loses money and senseless aggression loses money even more quickly, then generally speaking yes, selective aggression is the profitable way to play.

Care to define some selective aggression more specifically?

For me, selective aggression is knowing how to choose when to push and when not to. It's not about betting or climbing on impulse, but about taking advantage of situations where I have an advantage: depending on my position, the type of rival, the size of the stacks and the strength of my range. The idea is to maximize profits when it makes sense and avoid inserting chips just because you are aggressive...

I guess Selective aggression means betting and raising only with strong hands or logical bluffs, using position and opponent weaknesses to force folds.

Selective aggression is the single most profitable fundamental in poker because it allows you to win pots in two distinct ways: by showing down the best hand, or by forcing your opponent to fold (fold equity)

100% true. Controlled aggression gets respect at the table because people can't easily put you on a hand. Being aggressively random just makes you a call station's best friend lol. It's all about picking the right spots, position, and board texture.

I'd say that's true. Selective aggression is what separates good players from players who are just constantly firing. Picking the right spots to apply pressure is far more profitable than being aggressive for the sake of it. Timing is everything, bro. 😉

my right time, that's the word...

The best players are aggressive, but they aren't reckless.
