What is your default strategy with pocket pairs from Deuces to Sixes—are you strictly set-mining, or do you try to bluff with them? 🤔

I rarely bluff with them. I fold more than I bluff.

Small pocket pairs (typically 22 through 77) are "set-mining" hands: they have low high-card value but immense potential to flop a hidden, disguised monster.

Mostly set mine, but I'll open something like 66 or 55 if it folds to me on BT or SB or BB or maybe 1 limper.

If the flop is cheap I buy in. I sometimes raise to observe who might have stronger/ high cards and I make decisions based on what the flop gives. I can only bluff that during the bubble or in the money stage

It always depends on the situation. In 9-handed tournament table small pair can be a fold. Then again, in Spin table heads-up it is an all-in monster. Be always aware of what you are playing.

Depends on the situation and board texture. On low boards a small pocket pair also has decent showdown value, or maybe it has a straightdraw. Its to simple to say, that we are always just trying to hit a set with a small pair.

Mostly call depending on stack depth and player types.
