I think mindset is one of the most important parts of playing good poker. You can know the rules, understand ranges and learn strategy, but if you can't control your emotions, all that knowledge can disappear when things start going badly. For me, patience is a big part of it. You won't always get good cards, and sometimes you can play for a long time without finding a good spot. The important thing is not to force a hand just because you're bored or because you haven't played for a while. I also think you have to accept variance. You can make the right decision and still lose the hand. If you start changing your strategy every time you suffer a bad beat, you can easily make things worse. I try to focus more on whether my decision was good than on whether I won the pot. Another important part is controlling frustration. After losing a big pot, it's easy to become impatient and try to win the chips back immediately. That's when emotions can start making decisions instead of you. Sometimes the best decision is simply to slow down, take a break and come back with a clear mind. For me, good poker psychology is about accepting that you can't control the cards or the result. You can only control your decisions. If you can stay patient, avoid tilt and keep making good decisions even when things aren't going your way, you're already giving yourself a much better chance to play consistently

I think patience is very important in poker, to control your emotions, not to get frustrated, to try not to get bored, in order to go far.

I try to notice when that shift happens, especially after a bad beat or a long tournament session. Taking a short break, sticking to stakes I’m comfortable with, and reviewing questionable hands afterward helps me make better decisions at the table. What part of the mental game gives you the most trouble?

I consider always believing the process .Focus on process rather result ,result will follow and also acknowledging poker as probabilistic game doesnt produce certain result also perseverance and patience is the key

I think mindset is just as important as strategy. You need to stay patient, avoid tilt, and focus on making the best decision instead of worrying about the result. Accepting bad beats and staying disciplined over the long run can make a huge difference.

For me, the most important psychological skill in poker is emotional control and detachment from short-term results. You need to focus entirely on making mathematically correct decisions, not on whether you won or lost the hand due to variance. Once you accept that bad beats are just part of the game, your mindset becomes bulletproof.

patience and the skill to read players, and notice patterns. also lack of pride to know when you're beat and not chase someone that took a big chunk from you

For me, staying patient is probably the biggest thing. Don’t chase losses, don’t force hands, and just focus on making good decisions.
