There are so many ways to raise money....
Mug someone, rip off your friends, car jacking, kidnapping, or better yet make your own by counterfeiting!
This world is full of opportunity if you have no scruples; just look at any politician for immoral guidance.

During all the years I've been playing poker, whenever I win a tournament over $100, I usually withdraw $80 and keep $20 to play with, but most of the time I end up losing it. Any advice on how to overcome this?
Honestly, I think withdrawing most of the win is actually a good habit — many players lose everything because they never cash out. The real issue may be what happens with the remaining $20. If you immediately jump back into the same variance-heavy tournaments trying to repeat the score, that small bankroll disappears very quickly.
What helped me was separating “profit” from “playing money.” Instead of thinking “I still have $20 to gamble with,” try treating it like a mini bankroll with rules. Play lower buy-ins, avoid chasing losses, and give yourself enough buy-ins to survive variance. Building slowly usually lasts much longer than trying to hit another big score right away.

Depends how frequently you win? In my opinion, and well mainly my case, maybe its relatable. You dont play a consistent game each time. I sometimes have 1 f.it moment and knock out 3 people with a bit of luck, gets me back on track to play properly and then with some good game make a final table and in very rare cases end up no1. so then the next 100 game, you barely make the money. or you do and its like a few cents and you toss that away in no time. So 20 bucks wouldnt go far unless if you are playing a consistent good (your best) game at all times. so if you make final table or be in the money at least frequently, then good on you taking you 80 out. but i bet you're putting it and more back in over time. 😓 dont stress. you're not alone.. I know I can play an ace game when i want to, but I also give in to chance from time to time, knowingly and then tilt when you make a bad call. 🤦‍♂️

And there are no satellite farms? Everyone says playing satellites makes your game worse, but I think the opposite. Today, poker is full of recreational players, and you have to be prepared for that.
I remember poker stars had a lot of those back in the day, starting as freerolls or 1c tourneys. I think it is great to showcase how consitent you can play with a low cost entry. . im playing GG mainly/only now, and I steer clear of those as i am still too impatient at times. trying to improve..

Instead of withdrawing 80% of every big win, try keeping 40–50% in your bankroll and only playing stakes that represent a small percentage of it. Consistent bankroll management is often the difference between staying at $0 and steadily moving up.
