Value Betting: The Most Underused Weapon

Many players love to bluff, but forget about value betting.
Getting paid when you have the best hand is where most of your profit comes from. Missing value bets can cost more than failed bluffs.
If your opponent is willing to call, you should be willing to bet.

I think we all do at times, for me, I think I maybe don't bet my value large enough, and thats more the way that I miss value

This really happens a lot; players fail to extract value from hands because they think their hand is too strong and doesn't need a bet, especially on the flop. Even if you have a set, the board can become dangerous with a straight or flush draw on the flop.

Most players dream about making hero bluffs… but the real money comes from boring river bets that get called by worse.
I think a lot of us secretly fear value betting because getting raised feels emotionally devastating 😂
So we check back, opponent shows second pair, and suddenly you realize: “wow… I bluffed three streets earlier but got scared to bet top pair for value.”
Poker is weird. People are more comfortable risking their stack with nothing than asking politely to get paid when they’re ahead 💀

The main thing is not to make it so that you think that you are getting the chips from your opponent, but in fact it is he who is getting the chips from you.
