What goes though your mind when you are at the poker table

For me it is mainly who is playing too many hands and who is folding too much to pressure. Then I watch the action: who limps, who raises, who calls raises, and whether their bet sizing changes when they seem strong.

After that I’m thinking about the specific hand: what range they can realistically have, what hands I represent, and whether this is a spot where betting actually gets worse hands to call or better hands to fold.

Here are my 2 things, I'm usually thinking when playing.
1. Position. Where am I relative to the aggressive players, short stacks, and weaker players? Position has become one of the most important factors in my decisions, especially when deciding how wide I can play.
2. What is my opponent trying to tell me? I pay attention to betting patterns, bet sizes, and previous actions. Before calling or raising, I try to ask myself: “What hands would realistically play this way?”
