I'll start: Only call what you see, not what you want to see.

Don't let the result judge the decision.
You can make the right play and lose, or make the wrong play and win.
If you only look at the outcome, you'll learn the wrong lessons and stunt your improvement.
Don't confuse running good with playing good, 80% of players do this.

Couldn't agree more. Bad habits are a lurking danger, playing smart leads to better results, but it all comes down to putting in the work.

They call this being results oriented.

Just because it worked or didnt work doesnt mean it wasnt the correct decision.

If you won the lottery, it doesnt mean that you should keep buying lottery tickets. They offer one of the lowest expected returns and you just got lucky.

One poker rule I always stand by: Never play a hand just because you already invested chips. Protecting your bankroll and making the right fold is part of winning poker.

@ne0npipe: "Calling what you want to see" is the ultimate trap. Wishing an opponent is bluffing or hoping the river miraculously saves you is the fastest way to bleed chips. Staying 100% objective is tough but necessary.

Result-oriented thinking is easily what holds most players back. It’s so easy to mistake a lucky run for good play, or to doubt a perfect decision just because of a bad beat. Focusing strictly on the quality of the decision rather than the outcome is the only way to stay sane in this game!

Many players limp any weak hand in the SB, but in the long run the losses add up.

Be patient, wait for the correct cards or opportunity to arise.

The champion isn't the one who plays the most hands, but the one who knows exactly when to play the right hand...

Sometimes a sneaky limp can be better, but raising or folding should be the default.

Both tight and loose players can be exploited. It’s about adjusting and finding the right balance for each table.
